Change Becomes Us

Grain Volume 43 No. 3, Spring 2016

"To my eye, there is more fear in stories these days, as there is in the culture at large, more lament for gone worlds, and uncertainty about what is to come."

With these words, guest editor Elizabeth Philips dials our attention to this issue's content: a multitude of transformations, alterations, transmutations, and recalibrations. Change, as Philips points out in her editor's note, does indeed become us.

Art by Christi Belcourt; new fiction by Barry Dempster; new poetry by Jennifer Still and Kim Trainor.
